Chemistry Testing Laboratory

Touchstone's chemical analysis laboratory is well equipped to solve a wide variety of technical problems for industry: metals, ceramics, plastics and coatings can be analyzed.

While capable of routine analysis, these laboratories emphasize unique analyses for R&D and failure analysis / industrial problem solving. Therefore, the equipment available emphasizes breadth and versatility.

Among the tools available in the laboratories are: ICP (inductively coupled plasma), G.C.'s (gas chromatographs), IR (infrared spectrophotometer), UV/Visible spectrophotometer, Draeger gas detection systems and a well equipped wet chemistry laboratory.

In addition to utilizing digital / electronic equipment, Touchstone can also perform very traditional lab techniques such as sulfur printing, which has many uses in ferrous alloys.
