Wire Tensile Testing to 100 Feet

Located just outside Pittsburgh, Pa, in the rolling hills of WestVirginia, Touchstone has installed a wire testing tensile machine capable of testing gage lengths up to 100 feet (30.5 meters).

Wire, rope, cord, chain or cable samples can be tested at loads up to 5,000 pounds and speeds up to 5 feet per minute.

This ultra long tensile machine has been used to support the development of new wire and cable technologies.
