Quartz Lamp Furnaces
These furnaces emphasize radiative heat and have little convective or conductive heat unlike more traditional furnaces. They are capable of temperature ranges from room temperature to 2700 deg F or 1500 deg C.
Quartz lamps have been found to have broad uses at Touchstone from heating samples within the fatigue and tensile machines, to pre-heating the rolls in the rolling mill, to providing intense radiant heat for accelerated aging of polymeric coatings and materials.
Other uses include thermal shock testing and gradient furnace applications.
